Brennan’s Restaurant
New Orleans, MA 70130
Brennan's Restaurant of New Orleans has been around since 1946 and offers Creole cuisine in a historic setting. After the restaurant opened, its chef, Paul Blangé, invented the famous New Orleans dessert, Bananas Foster. The chef passed away in 1977 and rumor has it that he has never left the kitchen of Brennan's. Reports say that the Chef's ghost will bang pots and pans at the end of the night shift every night. This happens once the doors have already been locked from the outside. Paul's ghost has also been spotted in the dining rooms or by the front door of the establishment. He is also said to appear when his signature dish is ordered - while the bananas are aflame at your table. Others have spotted his ghost in other forms, including a brief sparkle or a heat-wave-like distortion of a man in a chef’s hat.
