Dauphine Orleans Hotel - New Orleans LA Real Haunts

  • 415 Dauphine St.
  • New Orleans, LA
The Dauphine Orleans Hotel in New Orleans has had plenty of ghost stories surrounding it, along with its bar, May Bailey's Place. After tons of sightings and paranormal resesarch, stories say there are four main ghosts who like to make their presense known here. One of these ghosts is that of the Lost Bride who is believed to be the spirit of a young woman, Millie. Mille had been working in May's Place as a courtesan. Supposedly her fiance was shot dead in the middle of a gambling dispute on the morning of their wedding and Millie would wear her wedding gown around May's Place. Her ghost is known to linger at the location, still in her wedding gown, awaiting her fiance.

There is also an apparition who is often spotted in the ballroom. This ghost is known as Jewel, a "Dancing Girl" who is described as a teenager. On occasion, Jewel's ghost will helps guests who arrive late at the hotel to their guestrooms. She dances and does not touch the ground. The Travel Channel has even hosted "overnight lockdowns" at the hotel.
