**North Louisiana’s Premier Haunted Attraction**
**Two attractions. Ten nights. Something ancient has awakened.**
Deep within the pine forests of historic Natchitoches, Louisiana, Dark Woods Haunted Attraction® returns for its 2026 season at Timber Ridge Adventure Park. For more than a decade, guests have crossed the tree line to experience immersive environments, unsettling characters, and nightmares that unfold around them.
This year, Mr. Darke has acquired the Necronomicon. His pursuit of forbidden knowledge has disturbed forces far older than the woods themselves. Across the bayou and behind the doors of a decaying asylum, reality is beginning to unravel.
Follow Deadfall Trail into a community being consumed by an ancient influence. Enter Alice’s Madhouse in 3D: Descent, where an asylum bleeds into a cruel Wonderland and something monstrous waits beyond the next turn.
Live actors, detailed sets, atmospheric lighting, immersive sound, and Hollywood-inspired special effects bring two distinctly different nightmares to life.

**She remembers a roar. Then the flames.**
Alice survived the mysterious house fire that killed her family. It happened the night Mr. Darke first attempted to open a passage with the Necronomicon. No cause was ever proved.
Now, inside a decaying Victorian asylum, Alice’s fractured perception transforms staff and patients into figures from a twisted Wonderland. The boundaries between the two worlds are failing. Some inhabitants struggle against the change. Others welcome it.
Travel through unsettling asylum corridors, plunge down the rabbit hole, and lose yourself in vivid blacklight environments and ChromaDepth® 3D illusions. The Hatter, White Rabbit, Tweedles, and other familiar faces are waiting, but familiarity offers no comfort here.
Through the halls comes the roar Alice has never forgotten.
The Jabberwocky is near.

Beyond the midway, more than one-third mile of outdoor haunted trail winds beneath towering Louisiana pines and into the corruption spreading through Bayou Innsmouth.
Since Mr. Darke acquired the Necronomicon, forbidden rituals have disturbed the graves, overtaken the church, and drawn the community toward something ancient and unknowable. Cultists seek to open a passage for the Old Ones. Frightened townspeople struggle to resist.
Some beg outsiders for help. Some conceal what they are becoming. Others have already changed.
Move through abandoned structures, troubled homesteads, and ritual sites where every encounter pulls you deeper into the unfolding nightmare. Detailed environments, live characters, and special effects surround you as the forest closes in.
You have walked into a conflict you do not understand.

On every October operating night, enjoy live performances from some of Louisiana's favorite local musicians before and throughout the evening. From Southern rock and country to acoustic favorites and crowd-pleasing classics, our outdoor stage creates the perfect Halloween atmosphere while you relax with friends, grab a bite to eat, and prepare to enter the woods.
Come early, enjoy the music, explore the midway, and make a full night of your visit before facing the horrors that await beyond the gates.
Live entertainment is included with park admission and features a rotating lineup of talented local and regional artists throughout the Halloween season. Entertainment schedules are subject to change.

Y’all… when I tell you Dark Woods SCARED THE LIFE OUT OF ME, I am NOT exaggerating. 😭😂
We went as a family — me, my hubby, and our 8-year-old son — and apparently I was the one who was NOT prepared for what was coming. 😂
I love horror movies, so I went in thinking, “I’ve got this. How bad can it be?”
FAMOUS. LAST. WORDS. 💀
At one point they scared me so bad my body went into FULL fight-or-flight mode. My face turned bright red, my legs felt weak, I got dizzy, and my whole body was basically screaming GET ME OUT OF HERE! 😭😂
Meanwhile, I’ve got my husband and my 8-year-old right there experiencing the madness with me, which honestly made the whole night even more memorable. 😂❤️
The actors were AMAZING. The atmosphere, the timing, the jump scares, the details — every time I thought, “Okay, I can relax now…”
NOPE. 💀😂
Something else was waiting.
If you want a haunted attraction that actually makes you forget you're at an attraction and sends your nervous system into “MA’AM, WE ARE IN DANGER” mode… THIS IS IT. 😂
We laughed, screamed, got scared half to death, and made one heck of a family memory.
And somehow… WE WOULD ABSOLUTELY DO IT AGAIN. 😂🎃👻

The entire park is awesome. From build bear to the cafe, to the ice cream, to mini golf, it’s all in one place. THEN YOU GET TO GET SCARED!
The trail did not disappoint. Plenty of attractions, actors and wonderful props on the trail. Then when you think you can’t take any more there comes the Mad house. A 3d amazing world. A must see to believe.

I have gone to many Haunted Attractions over the years in many states. This attraction was one of the most well put together experiences. The characters were outstanding and enjoyable and the staff was very friendly and outgoing. We will absolutely be visiting this and many other attractions in the future!!! Thank you for making my nieces birthday experience exactly what she wanted.

Worth it. Great props amazing scare actors and a nice still through the woods but the 3d house is where it's at. Everybody did an amazing job

We had a phenomenal time. We've gone a few times and invited other couples and families. The fast pass is the best way to go!!! There is so much talent in these woods. It's a great, safe and clean atmosphere!!!! We look forward to it every year! We hope they start doing something in September to prep us for October!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're returning in a few weeks.

The park lines went quick and the scares were great. My daughter and her friend were screaming the whole time so you know we got our moneys worth.
The quality of the monsters / scares were some of the best I've seen. Park is spread out so you're never feeling like you're in a crowded area even though lots o' people were there. Concessions were top notch and yummy too!

Great haunted theme park throughout! Super long trail full of scares and lots to see. I won’t ruin the surprises we saw.
The 3D show has you winding through lots of scares and twists and turns. You feel you’ll never get out! Lol
The roaming characters are plentiful and very engaging.
Lots of food options and great merch to buy.
Also be sure to check out their new casket ride. That’s all I am gonna say about that. Totally worth the extra few bucks.
We’ll be back next season!
