This private residence is rumored to be haunted by ghostly soldiers, Confederate deserters in stolen Union uniforms. The men were caught in real life, and committed suicide in the home to avoid punishment. They shot each other, and to this day their apparitions have been spotted holding whiskey bottles and singing "John Brown's Body." The sounds of drunken laughter and soldiers' marching footsteps have also been heard here.
