T'Frere's House Bed and Breakfast
Lafayette, LA 70508
This bed and breakfast is rumored to be haunted by a ghost who is known as "Amelie." She died after falling into the well and supposedly the Catholic church refused to bury her on church property because her death was ruled a suicide. Her ghost is known to turn the lights on and off, bang pots and pans, and other mischievous acts.

I probably should have done more research before staying here. I believe in ghosts and stayed here for the experience. I stayed in the Amélie room for a week. During my stay I had run of the house, and I was the only guest. I had the attic door come open by itself. By this I mean it was locked with a deadbolt and on a hinge and the ghost tooK the nails out of the henge and put them in a lamp across the room. And there was the sound of walking and something thumping in the attic above my room and my room only. This sound could be heard at all hours of the day. My room sets right on top of the well and the ghost apparently likes the attic. Like what!!! should have done more research.
